1. a Hindu title of address equivalent to Sir, Mr., or Esquire.
2. a Hindu gentleman.

It is a funny aproximation of the yiddish bubbi that means darling or baby
Seriously, it’s a nonsensical word that was created because of the cartoon.
On wikipedia it says this:
Sally has a strong crush on Charlie Brown’s friend Linus. She calls him her “sweet babboo” (inspired by Schulz’s wife Jeanie, who used to call him that).
It’s also a character on Seinfeld….seriously!
A meaningless name, Sally, from Charlie Brown, calls Linus (her “Sweet Baboo”).
Kids, go figure…

Everyone in the gang is hoping for valentines from their favorite sweeties on Valentine’s Day, including Sally (who is looking for a valentine from Linus).
Looks like it could be a Valentine…
All the others seem logical, but I didn’t see anyone mention that Babboo is also the name of the monkey in the Disney version of “Aladdin”
